The two project assignments plus presentation
can be done
individually or in a two-person team. The class-led exercise can be
done individually, by a team for a group (3 or more people). For team and
group assignments, each person
will receive the same grade, unless I have overwhelming evidence that it
should be otherwise.
Details on the assignments are or will be provided separately. The table
below summarizes the deliverables and an approproximate date when each
assignment will be due. The tentative grade weight is also provided
-- note it doesn't add to 100% because there will be a grade for
class participation (basically good citizenship in the class) that
will count for 20%. Please bear in mind that the assignments and
dates are tentative until we have an opportunity to discuss them and/or
other possibilities. I want to tailor the class to your interests and
needs as best I can.

what your first thinking is on topics we will cover in the class. Just
because it's ungraded, please don't think it's unimportant.
