Although South of the Border manages to increase what Bailey (2000) refers to as "link affordance" by applying text labels to its navigation images, the odd placement of these along right and bottom of the home page almost negates any improvements over the Bedrock site.

The problem is further inhibited by the placement of these elements in such close proximity to other images: a rollover cartoon map of the East Coast states and the attraction's sombrero-wearing mascot, Pedro. (This problem is somewhat remedied in second-tier pages, where these navigation images are relocated to the left margins.)
