A Guide to English Language Resources

Bibliographies and Research Guides

Imperial Double Headed EagleTaken together, these bibliographies offer the beginning researcher a guided tour of a considerable quantity of the scholarly literature on Catherinian Russia. It is important to note, however, the dated character of these reference sources. Most were published prior to the early 1980s. And while it is true that the scholarly output in this field is not torrential, it is hardly static. To discover more recent scholarship it will be necessary to consult the more current resources discussed on the Indexes and Abstracts page.
