1.1 Sign up for GitHub choose a username you would put on a resumé ;) email me your username due 01/15
  Create a GitHub User Page web page (You must use the username.github.io naming scheme) Choose a standard theme. due 01/15
1.2 Sign up for two Newsletters;  Choose another if you desire.

Take a screen shot of both newsletters when you get them
Name the screenshots like this: search-engine-watch.png and mit-tech-review.png
  Create a repository at github and post a screen shots there.

1.3 Sign in to Class Blog and create a introductory post. due 01/29
1.4 Install Git on your Laptop  
1.5 Set up Virtual Private Network Connection on your laptop you will do this on your own download the Cisco AnyConnect VPN for Mac or Windows due 01/29
1.6 Connect to your OPAL account via SSH and create a protected directory.Windows users will need to use Secure Shell. Mac users can use the Terminal app, which is already installed on OSX. due 01/29
1.7 Install an SFTP Program. Mac users  can use Fetch or any other SFTP program that works for them. Windows Users should download SSH/SFTP Secure Shell Client. To connect, choose SFTP option.
