These journals publish reviews of Madeleine L’Engle’s novels. They are all available in the SILS Library.

Booklist is a journal published by the American Library Association. The primary goal of this journal is to provide reviews of books and audiovisual material. Also included are interviews with authors, bibliographies, and essays.

 

The Horn Book Magazine. Boston: Horn Book Inc., 1945-. SILS Library [1st Level Stacks]

The Horn Book Magazine provides articles and columns that review the most current resources for children, young adults, and teachers. The journal is released bimonthly and is important in the field of children’s literature.

 

Library Journal. New York: R.R. Bowker, Co., 1876-. SILS Library [4th Level Stacks]

Library Journal is the oldest publication geared specifically for libraries. It is published 20 times annually and touches on topics involving politics, technology, and management. Each issue also includes reviews of books, CD-ROMS, websites, and magazines. The reviews are performed by fellow librarians.

 

School Library Journal. New York: R.R. Bowker, Co., 1961-. SILS Library [1st Level Stacks]

The School Library Journal is geared towards librarians who work with both children and young adults. The main goal of the journal is to provide information on how to create and manage a children’s book collection. The journal does this by including reviews on the most useful and up to date educational materials, such as books, websites, and videos. Reviews are voluntary and performed by school and public libraries, media specialists, and professors.
