This pathfinder was created to
act as an introduction to the literature and resources available about
exhibition design in art museums. The
intended audience is UNC Chapel Hill, UNC Greensboro, Duke or NC State graduate
level students in the enrolled in museum studies or related art or design
programs, who have a specific focus or interest in exhibition design within art
museums. The resources selected in
this pathfinder are located within the University of North Carolina at Chapel
Hill campus. The three libraries
that house these resources are Davis Library, Sloane Art Library and Information
and Library Science (SILS) Library. Types
of resources include guides, encyclopedias, dictionaries, bibliographies,
monographs, abstracts and indexes, journals, glossaries, directories and web
sites. The monographs will provide
information about exhibition design exclusively, while many of the other types
of sources will provide essential information such as art terms, art
institutions worldwide and related aspects of museum studies. |
