We will be considering relational databases,
so do watch this video to prepare yourselves for Entity Relationship Modeling
and Structured Query Language terminology.

But it wouldn't hurt to read

• the Wikipedia entry on Relational Databases for background
• and Microsoft's Database design basics

Read this linked article twice

1. Read it prior to the relational database session so you will have an idea about why relational databases are useful.
2. Then read it again after we've discussed relationships and talked about SQL.

Glance over the Structured Query Language tutorial at W3Schools.

We will introduce SQL and build a few SQL queries, so this tutorial is something you might want to come back to in the future.
