There are many sites that deal with solar energy on the Internet but not all of them are useful. The following are some of the best sources for information on solar energy. These are sites for research centers, societies and governmental departments and they provide consistent and accurate information. They are good starting points that lead the user in the right direction.
The homepage for North Carolina Solar Center based on the North Carolina State University campus. Here the user has access to publication information; view the solar house onsite; check the calendar of events for various conferences, workshops and tours; and view other resources. The center has its own reference library and provides factsheets to the general public. The user can also access information about ASES, IREC, CREST and various other organizations local and nationwide.
EREN and the United States Department of Energy's Concentrating Solar Power Program. This program leads the national effort to develop clean, competitive, and reliable power options using concentrated sunlight. The site also includes a link to the Department of Energy.
