This
dictionary is a very good reference work. It is written by an
American scholar. This dictionary is very convenient to use
for non-Chinese speaking researchers. It gives very good illustrations
as well as explanations. This book is made in a way that is
useful to practitioners, students, teachers, whether or not
they know Chinese or are familiar with the terminology presented.

dictionary is very useful both to Chinese researchers and non-Chinese
speaking researchers. The two-way translation function makes
this dictionary stand out from other dictionaries. It not only
provides Chinese Characters, English words of the terms but
also provides romanization spellings of Chinese characters of
each terms in the dictionary. It has 11,000 English entries
and 9,700 Chinese entries. The arrangement of each entry is
organized in a way that is inner related and easy to find. Under
each entry it not only provides a main entry but also several
related subentries. It also gives multiple access points.

This
encyclopedia devotes around 30 pages exclusively to Traditional
Chinese Medicine. Cross reference is provided for further information
concerning the subject under discussion. It introduces the medical

Chinese medicine, disorder manifestation and diagnosis, therapy
and its coexistence with western medicine.
