Salamanca is widely known for its Plateresque architecture, sandstone buildings, and the 13th century university. From grocery shopping in the open air mercado to sipping Tinto de Verano on a terraza in the la Plaza Mayor, this truly is one of my most favorite and beautiful places in Spain to live.
