In-class exercise. In groups of about 8 people,
subdivide into three to five planners and four implementors. Implementor
teams will move to the nextdoor room while I instruct the planning teams
and allocate resources to
them. They will then to left to plan while I provide some instructions to
the implementation teams. Please don't
yield to temptation and read ahead.

individual do the life line exercise described on pp. 146-ff thinking
about the past, present and future. Share as much or as little as you
like first with your team or trio (if you've
chosen to work this way) and then with the
class as a whole.

In-class exercise. As an individual, do the
Personal Appliction Assignment on p. 155. This involves rating your goals
on importance, ease of attainment, and whether or not it is in conflict
with other goals. Then select one goal to work on in the immediate
future and answer some or all the questions relating to goal definition
and planning. Share as much or as little as you would like.
