Tools for Information Literacy

Create a chart that compares values to categories

to show comparisons

Using the data on the 15-Chart 01 worksheet, create a chart to display the Total grain demand and Grain production for the year 2031 for the four sub-regions of Sub-Saharan Africa.
Why we do this What we are to do
to prepare the data using the data on the 15-Chart 01 worksheet
select the values for the
Total grain demand,
and Grain production
for the year 2031,
for the four sub-regions of Sub-Saharan Africa.
This will require you to filter selected columns
and perhaps to sort by Sub-Region.
to create a chart that compares one data set by category Use a chart that compares values (Millions of metric tons) to categories (Element).
You will be creating a clustered column or a clustered bar chart.
Place the chart on a separate worksheet (this means the chart stands alone on a worksheet and does not float above a grid of cells on a worksheet) named 15-Food Demand.
You may use the chart wizard, but do not use the defaults.
to demonstrate facility with the chart formatting tools You will need to work with the chart tools to ensure that the X or Y axes (depending on whether you use a column or a bar chart) are labeled.
Depending on how you build your chart, they may not need labeling.
to demonstrate facility with additional chart formatting tools Include a chart title and modify the display in some fashion to make it unique to your style.
