Introduction Terminology The Sources

Listen to Eno

Eno's music is not readily available through the UNC system, which holds just one of Eno's ambient albums, and none of his classic pop records (such as Another Green World). However, you can discover a lot about Eno by the albums he has produced for others, and some of his work appears on compilations available through UNC.

This is Eno's record company site, and what's cool about it is that you can listen to snippets of what he's working on or stuff he has no intention of releasing for widespread distribution -- of course they'll be happy to sell you CD copies as well. Also available are books of his that are in print. A commercial site, but good for keeping the pulse of Eno.

A collection of his defining work with U2 is included in this compilation. It cannot be overstated that U2's sound changed significantly in 1984 on the Eno-produced Unforgettable Fire. He has had a huge impact on their sound and, arguably, on their success.
