Journals
There are few journals that really provide the kind of content that does justice to the type of music Eno is associated with, and UNC libraries carry none of them. It is perhaps no surprise that electronic music magazine resources fit well online, and the ones listed here are exactly that, either online-only journals or print magazines with a significant online presence. While any specific issue of the magazines listed may or may not deal with Eno, his spirit is never far off, and it is certainly no surprise that their pages are littered with references to him.
Perfect Sound Forever

Perfect Sound Forever is an online journal that caters to “other music,”
that is, music typically ignored by the in-fashion pop culture of the moment.
Interesting original articles and reprints on the more obscure sides of Eno
can be found here. In the world of online ‘zines, PSF has shown some staying
power (as well as respect by other music industry publications), relying on
readers as well as themselves for articles, and sticking steadfastly to artists
deserving of greater recognition. Check the “Biography” section
of this pathfinder for some of the articles in PSF relating to Eno.
The Wire
http://www.thewire.co.uk/
The best overall magazine covering avant-garde and ambient music, this British
journal has been around since 1982, and is dedicated to that nether region between
academic or classical music and rock. In print it’s well-written, beautifully
produced, informative, exhaustive, completist, obsessed. One might be hard pressed
to find an issue that does not, somewhere within its pages, make reference to
Eno. This online version is unfortunately not tuned to deliver the full magazine,
and will not let you do as extensive searching as you might like (it covets
its back issues rather too protectively, and its archive will tell you what’s
in an issue but will not provide the full text) but its online-only content,
links, and .mp3 download page are rich resources for ambient and avant-garde
music. First rate, and until UNC decides it should carry it in its Music Library,
this site is as close as you'll get to a journalistic broad view of avant-garde
and ambient music.
Brainwashed
http://www.brainwashed.com/
This online electronic music magazine keeps itself free from any outside influence,
and is apparently on a mission to stay populist in format and never get paid
for anything. Which is a good thing, insofar as they present artists who they
feel are important to contemporary electronic music. An excellent place to find
the current pulse of electronic music and see the influence Eno really has had.
Brainwashed also has a very good streaming radio station.
