Beller-McKenna, Daniel. American Brahms Society. [2003]. http://brahms.unh.edu/

This web site contains many links to good external pages about Brahms's life and works, as well as to additional information about the Society.

Ingraham, Mary I. and Thomas Quigley. Johannes Brahms WebSource. [2002]. http://www.johannesbrahms.org/

This is an excellent page in terms of its scholarship and accuracy. While not particularly flashy or image-intensive, it has been well organized by the foremost authorities on Brahms research to date. It contains links to biographical information, a works list, festivals celebrating Brahms's life and music, societies for the composer, an image gallery, other music research information, and a “webography”. This last area is particularly useful in that it is a list of sites organized topically and alphabetically by author visiting different areas of Brahmsian research and publication on the Internet. Most of the links work as of mid-November 2003. Note: the small creature used as bullet points in different areas of the site is a hedgehog from a silhouette of Brahms in later years representing his love for a particular restaurant in Vienna, the “Rote Igel”.
