What did we see?
Nicer GUI interface than Pine
Had support for POP and IMAP servers
When we configured it in IMAP mode we saw the same messages as we saw with Pine!
- That’s because all the mail is stored on the Unix server and both Pine and Outlook are accessing the same data
- That’s the whole point of the client/server architecture. User can select the client they prefer. As long as the client talks the correct protocol to the server you are in business.
