BB: No. Ain't nobody ever got caught in a waterspout. Everybody, you know, most of the time they ain't got no s-they got enough sense to stay in when it's squally, but-once in a while they'll go out, but when it gets real bad they'll come in or head to Portsmouth or-used to have a camp on Shell Castle and everything. Used to go over there. Set it out till it got pretty and come back it. Yeah, everybody knows what to do around here when it gets stormy.
FW: You get some dingbatters out there, though.
BB: I seen one, uh, I think it was yesterday, when it was blowing so hard, leave out here in a little fourteen foot John boat. I said, "He's got sense!" Little, uh, he had a nine, nine and a half horsepower or something on the back of her. I wouldn't a gone out in the Creek in her! They come here with them sail boats in the summer, take them little dingy rafts right on.
FW: Out in the ocean?
BB: No, not out in the ocean, but they take them out in the sound there, go clamming and whatever. I wouldn't. I've seen how quick it builds out there. I know how rough it gets out there.
