DIALECT

this dialect bomb ... some North Carolina speech

this dialect bomb is a project conducted by members of the North Carolina Language and Life Project at North Carolina State University from 1993-1998 under the direction of Walt Wolfram, William C. Friday professor. As part of this project, members collected 43 dialect excerpts from different areas of North Carolina.

We'll try to make this map (or a better one) link to the dialect excerpts.
