·          Alabama – Added six new courses, dropped four courses, and reviewed MLIS curriculum with particular attention         to require course content.  A new 21 credit hour undergraduate minor in Information Science will start in the         Fall of  2000.

·          Albany – Added one new course and revised the MLIS curriculum.

·          Alberta – Added three new courses, dropped one course, taught one course on an experimental basis, and         reviewed  the MLIS program as part of the strategic plan and annual faculty “Advance.”

·          British Columbia – Added 10 new courses, a doctoral program, a joint masters program in Teacher-        Librarianship, and a diploma in archival studies.

·          Buffalo – Added one course, reviewed the first two required courses, and is considering adding a joint masters         program with communications.

·          California - Los Angeles – Added one course, taught seven courses on an experimental basis, did a total review of         the MLIS program, and replaced the qualifying exam with a juried publishable paper for the Ph. D. program.  A         revision of the Ph. D. program is also under construction.

·          Clarion – Added a field requirement for the undergraduate degree.

·          Clark Atlanta – Did a total curriculum review of the MSLS; three courses were taught on an experimental basis.

·          Dalhousie – Added two new courses, dropped two courses, did a total curriculum review of the MLIS, and         removed the language requirement.

·          Dominican – Added two courses, reviewed the Health Sciences Curriculum, and taught three courses on an         experimental basis.

·          Drexel – Added three new courses, dropped 11 courses and taught one on an experimental basis.  Drexel also         reviewed the Ph. D. program and the portfolio student assessment.

·          Emporia – Added two new courses for the new Information Management Certificate, added a B.S. in         Information Resource Studies, did a total curriculum review of the MLIS, and taught one experimental course.

·          Florida State – Added 11 new courses, dropped three courses and taught three on an experimental basis.

·          Hawaii – Taught two courses on an experimental basis.

·          Illinois – Added three new courses, taught 23 courses on an experimental basis, and dropped two courses.

·          Indiana – Taught seven courses on an experimental basis, added one course, and replaced a general management         course with MIS and new MLS specific courses.

·          Iowa – Dropped one course, taught one course on an experimental basis, reviewed an also revised several         courses.

·          Kent State – Taught one course on an experimental basis, and reviewed the MS degree in Information         Architecture and Knowledge Management, as well as the Interdisciplinary degree involving five schools at KSU.

·          Kentucky – Taught two courses on an experimental basis and did a total curriculum review.

·          Louisiana – Taught one course on an experimental basis.

·          Maryland – Taught 12 courses on an experimental basis.

·          McGill – Dropped two courses, reviewed the required courses for the MLIS degree, taught one course on an         experimental basis, and started a January entry for MLIS students.

·          Michigan – Added seven new courses.

·          Missouri – Taught 17 courses on an experimental basis.

·          Montrιal – Added a new master’s program in September 1998, and added some minor changes to a few course         descriptions and contents.

·          North Carolina  Central – Added two new courses, and taught one course on an experimental basis.

·          North Carolina - Chapel Hill – Added three new courses and taught 11 on an experimental basis.

·          North Carolina - Greensboro – Taught six courses on an experimental basis added four new courses, dropped one         course, did a COA review and site visit for the MLIS.

·          North Texas – Added five new courses, dropped two courses, added a certificate of Advanced Study in Digital         Image Management, reviewed and revised the core courses, and taught two courses on an experimental basis.

·          Oklahoma – Added one new course, reviewed the directed readings, directed research, research for master’s         thesis, and special problems, revised the special projects course, and taught one experimental web-based course.

·          Pittsburgh – Taught seven courses on an experimental basis.

·          Pratt – Added one new course.

·          Puerto Rico – Added one new course, added the certificate program in August 2000, approved on an         experimental basis, and six certificate programs were approved

·          Queens – Taught eight courses on an experimental basis, and reviewed and revised the core curriculum.

·          Rhode Island – Added two courses, dropped two courses, taught three courses on an experimental basis, revised         the core curriculum.

·          Rutgers – Conducted a complete curriculum review.

·          St. John’s – Taught two  courses on an experimental basis.

·          San Jose – Reviewed the curriculum, taught three courses on an experimental basis, and examined courses to         determine which would work best in various distance and on-site settings.

·          South Carolina – Taught five courses on an experimental basis, did a total curriculum review, and specifically         reviewed the area of Technology within the curriculum.

·          South Florida – Taught nine courses on an experimental basis and added three courses to the required core.

·          Southern Connecticut – Added three new courses and is in the process of reviewing the curriculum to retire         outdated courses and develop new courses in under supported areas.

·          Southern Mississippi – Taught two courses on an experimental basis and began the hybrid in-person/online         course delivery in the Spring of 2000.

·          Syracuse – Added seven courses, taught a Summer Institute which consisted of 27 courses, and did a total         curriculum review of the MLS.

·          Tennessee – Taught one course on an experimental basis, reviewed the school media endorsement, and new state         standards were implemented.

·          Texas – Did a total curriculum review of the MLS.

·          Texas Woman’s – Added a dual MLS and Health Science, reviewed the required courses for consistency among         instructors, taught seven courses on an experimental basis.

·          Washington – Taught 16 courses on an experimental basis, added 13 new courses, dropped 16 courses, planned         for the new undergraduate and Ph.D. programs, and is conducting an on-going review and revision of the MLIS         degree.

·          Wayne State – Dropped the advanced practicum, and reviewed all of the elective courses.

·          Western Ontario – Added two courses, reviewed and revised specific areas within the curriculum, and taught five         courses on an experimental basis.

·          Wisconsin-Madison – Added one new course, taught several topics courses, and is continuing to review the MLIS         courses.

·          Wisconsin-Milwaukee – Added a Doctoral Seminar:  Issues in Educational and Media Technology, which is a         seminar course for the Multidisciplinary Ph.D. program.  They also taught three courses on an experimental         basis.
