Current and Recent Research Activities/Projects

Systematic Review of Assigned Search Tasks (with Luanne Freund, University of British Columbia, and Elaine Toms, University of Sheffield)
In order to improve the methods used in interactive information retrieval experiments, we are maintaining a searchable Repository of Assigned Search Tasks (RepAST) of the tasks that have been assigned in past studies.

Digital Library Curriculum Development (Barbara Wildemuth, UNC PI; Jeff Pomerantz, UNC Co-PI; Ed Fox, VA Tech PI; funded by NSF)
Based on current best practices in the teaching of digital library topics, we developed educational modules and materials related to digital libraries, for use in computer science and information and library science programs. The modules continue to be available in Wikiversity, for teachers and scholars to use and adapt.
