Design Specifications Assignment
INLS 62
For each page of the website, create a ‘wireframe’ that has two sections: a) the display area that defines what users will actually see on that page; and b) a side column that documents the page.
The display area should specify the following:
The page title and any logos or site information (required)
Text blocks (optional)
Images (optional)
Lists (optional)
Forms/query boxes (optional)
Links/buttons—must be labeled (at least one required)
The documentation area should specify the following:
Page ID or number (this could be the file name for the HTML) (required)
Your name (required)
Date created and date last updated (required)
Any metatag information such as keywords (optional)
Page dynamics (e.g., mouse overs, Flash, special effects) (optional)
Call outs that describe function or look and feel for any item in the display area (e.g., the text level style for any label or text block). (at least two required)
For the entire website, create a one-page cover sheet that includes:
Website name
Your name
Number of pages on the site
Fonts and sizes to use as default for each text level (e.g., Level 1: Verdana, size 16).
The background color and/or pattern for the pages
Note that style sheets will often be used to allow customization of these layout details, but for this activity, I want you to consider this in advance as a default condition.
