DL evaluation must be multifaceted

DLs may excel on some criteria (size, precision, usability, novelty, connectedness/interactiveness) but fall short on others

Satisfaction as a metric has many limitations

As technology raises users’ expectations, their satisfaction often goes down

 

Questions

If time-on-task is used as an evaluation metric, how to distinguish positive and negative time

Does market research and retail satisfaction apply?

In the end, does simplicity always win out?

Will we be able to measure user behavior and satisfaction better through technologies?
