This almanac
gives in-depth coverage of the year’s prominent stories. It covers a wide variety of subjects
including vital statistics, U.S. populations, economics, trade and
transportation, taxes, astronomy, entertainers, education, U.S. memorable dates,
world history, zip codes, and sports, etc.
There are no illustrations, but it does include lots of statistics and
new color maps and flags from Rand McNally.
For ease of use, there is a “Quick Thumb Index” where key subject
headings are highlighted in black on the pages, as well as a General Index in
front and a Quick Reference Index in back.
