Internet Public Library. http://www.ipl.org/ An annotated, web-based index of online resources designed and organized like a physical library with an array of collections and subjects with an easily accessible reference section. The intended audience is all ages of the public. The Internet Public Library is an educational initiative of the University of Michigan School of Information and is sponsored by Bell & Howell Information and Learning.

Bartleby.com: Great Books Online http://bartleby.com/ Internet publisher of reference materials and books. Publishes the classics of literature, nonfiction, and reference intended for the home or classroom. Publisher & Founder Steven H. van Leeuwen.

INFOMINE: Scholarly Internet Resource Collections http://infomine.ucr.edu/ An introduction to Internet sources relevant to a university audience. Contains annotated and indexed links to university level research materials and educational resources such as databases, electronic journals, electronic books, bulletin boards, listservs, online library card catalogs and scholarly articles. Created and maintained by the University of California, California State University with contributions from the University of Detroit (Mercy) and other university and college librarians.
