About Illustrations: "Life on Planet X" was a 53 page story written by Matthew's sister Christy in the Summer of 1990. It tells the story of seven extraterrestial children growing up on the melting-pot world of Planet X. Matthew illustrated 23 individual pictures for the story using a blend of ink, pencil and crayon. Below is an excerpt from the story, appearing in both full-text and in full-image formats. The following excerpt was taken from the middle of the story and recounts how the seven alien protagonists start their own baseball team.
