The Telnet “Client”
The software that initiates a telnet connection
Provides the interface and a set of features for the end user
- All clients provide a dumb terminal capability
- Some allow user to use custom fonts/colors
- Some support different types of terminal emulation
- Some allow scripting or logging of data
Software may be commercial or shareware, such as WinQVT or NCSA Telnet, “built-in” to the operating system (with Unix, Windows 95/NT etc).
