Capital retrieve only matching words with capitals in documents.
- “White House” only finds references to buildings with this name.
- “white house” retrieves discussions of the “White House” and houses that may be white, i.e., I live in a “white house.”
Lower case search terms retrieve matches with both capitals and lower case.
