What is possible?

• Already have seen that we can send graphics and pictures over the Web

  • Web browsers have build in abilities to display GIF, and JPG files

• Also is possible to send other types of files across the Internet including sounds and even full motion video

  • However not all browsers can handle them directly
  • May need to define or install “Helper Applications” first, but with newer browsers the ability to play basic sound files is usually built-in
