Conclusion….
Servers can do wonderful things BUT
- They can be expensive to purchase
- They can require a large investment in people and training to maintain them
- You’re getting into the computer center business by doing this on your own
- They may not be necessary. You still can provide Internet access to all the machines on a LAN without a file server of your own.
Bottom line…
- If you have the resources and the commitment, GREAT - DO IT. If you don’t, think about other possibilities!
