Satellite Meetings IFLA General Conference, Boston, August 2001

The following is a brief overview of satellite meetings (pre- and post-) at IFLA Boston 2001, as far as data are available or information has come through to us. Please let me have any additional information that you have.

  1. Québec, Canada, 14-16 August 2001. " Education and research for marketing and quality management in libraries". Sections on Management and Marketing and on Education and Training, in collaboration with the School of library and information science of the Université de Montréal. Approved by PB.

  2. Either a pre- or post-conference is proposed by NELINET (New England Library Network) addressing how library consortia internationally can and could make a difference for libraries. Sponsors include the International Coalition of Library Consortia (ICOLC) and the Library Consortium Management; an International Journal (MCB Press). Contact: Arnold Hirschon (NELINET), Newton, MA.   3. "Leadership for Academic Librarians" Pre-conference proposed by Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL) and Harvard Institutes for Higher Education. Contact: Maureen Sullivan
