Other Sites

The North Carolina Botanical Garden manages
several other sites located in and around
the Chapel Hill area. The University began to
develop these areas as early as 1903, when
Dr. William Chambers Coker, the University's first
professor of botany, began to beautify an area of
wet meadow on the east side of campus.
