- Collect draft of work plan (resources, time and task chart,
milestones, evaluation plan, plan for dissemination and budget.
- Review last week's work and answer questions.

Divide into assigned reviewing teams and plan review
process.

Time to set up posters and examine

REVIEW OF POSTERS |
Each review team selects best of show. Team members write
brief (1/2 page) critiques of all posters reviewed.

PACKAGING AND PRESENTING THE PROPOSAL
- Review all elements and compare to funding source criteria
- Review/Rewrite as needed
- Prepare cover letter, cover sheet and abstract
- Complete forms, certifications, gather signatures
- Gather support letters and other needed documentation

SUMMARY OF VIPs (VERY IMPORTANT POINTS)
- Examine the appearance of your draft
- Is it readable and concise?
- Are pages numbered and table of contents provided if longer than ten
pages?
- Are pages standard in size, color and weight?
- Has proposed been proofread by more than one person?
- Examine the writing style in your proposal
- Use active rather than passive voice.
- Use simple sentences, short paragraphs, headings and subheadings, as
needed
- Is proposal written from point of view of those who will benefit from
it?
- Compare the finished proposal to application guidelines
- Have all required elements been included in the specified order?
- Have you addressed all the specified criteria?

Final Assignment. - Due June 16. All students:
Turn in final draft of proposal.
For 1/2 unit: Make necessary corrections, adjustments to prior
work. Prepare cover sheet and write abstract.
For 1 unit: Make necessary corrections and
adjustments to prior work. Write cover letter and
write abstract. Add any appendices you wish.
NOTE for all students: I will give each of you a release form
asking you to give (or not give, if you so choose) permission to use
sections from your proposal anonymously in my future instructional activities.
There is no onus for refusal, and only teacherly gratitude for the gift
of your permission.
Please include your mailing address plus envelope and postage if you wish
your returned final project to be sent elsewhere than to the GLIS
office.
