• How academic user education at the upper and graduate level
  • so that you can compare and contrast it to undergraduate user ed.

• Become more aware of a formal instructional design approach (based on systems theory)
  • so that you will have a positive attitude to this approach and

  • be willing to adopt it or at least explore it further.

• Apply some methods of needs analysis
  • to a particular learner population,

  • in a particular setting,

  • for a particular subject (LIS)
