» Scholarly Communications Interaction Design

A primary focus of Dr. Hemminger's research is scholarly communications in this electronic age where resources and annotations are digital, people search with Google, and presentations are interactive. Dr. Hemminger currently chairs the campus committees on Scholarly Communications and Electronic Theses and Dissertations. Work in this area involves developing tools to faciliate scholarly authors self-publishing, archiving their works publicly, maintaining rights to their work, annotating any type of objects, and being able to search out all types of content from single metasearch tool (GoogleScholar but with a better interface :-)). GRA work on this project offers learning and development on any of these projects. Pay is between $15,000 and $20,000 per year depending on experience.
