Bascom Lamar Lunsford

Bascom Lamar Lunsford (1882-1973) was a performer, amateur folklorist and collector, festival organizer, and recording artist from the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. He played fiddle and banjo, and sung ballads, lyric folksongs, banjo shouting songs, and parlor songs. In addition to his performing and festival organizing activities, he contributed more material to the Archive of Folk Song than any other American.
