Dalhousie and Kent State The
director may grant
exemption.
Dominican Allows exemptions for
exception experience.
Emporia and Pratt Requires approval
by the Dean.
Indiana Accepts a paper or
demonstrated expertise as basis
for exemption.
McGill Allows exemptions
occasionally, if course
equivalency can be shown. For the Ph.D., a student who is
continuing the same subject to a
Ph.D. may enter at Ph.D. 2 level.
Montreal Requires approval
of the Dean and the Graduate School's Dean.
Oklahoma Approval of Commmittee on
Admissions, Financial Aid and Academic Standing required.
Pittsburgh Requires approval from
an Admissions and Review
Committee.
Puerto Rico Syllabi must
be provided.
Queens Requires submission of a
MA/MS thesis written for
another degree.
Rhode Island A
written exam is in
conjunction with "credit for experience" option and is
used sparingly. Also no
more than 20 percent of a students credits may be
transferred in, but student may
take elective in place of waived requirement.
Simmons A student may
petition the faculty.
Texas Approval of the
Graduate Studies Committee
and the Dean is necessary.
Wayne State Students can
exempt courses based on
evaluation of prior course work.
