June 1 - Readings for Friday have been posted.
May 29 - I've posted my summary of the e-background.  You will receive your grades and a comment or two via email on Wednesday, late Wednesday (Remember, anytime before midnight is still Wednesday).
May 26 - A few of you have expressed to me an interest in presenting the class with something other than your take on an article. You would like to bring a little of the real world into the classroom. I'm fine with that. If you are familiar with a company with an ebusiness presence and we are able to access the ebusiness web site from class, you may demonstrate the site' features. Let's make this a little more than show and tell. You will need to tell us something about the reasons the company developed the site (strategy, objectives, goals), the impact the site has had on the business (is everyone rolling around on the floor in piles of money), the impact the move into ebusiness has had on the work environment, how the site serves customers' needs, the thinking behind the site design, etc. In other words, you'll have to so some homework about the company.
May 26 - A list of the required readings for the class is now available on the Readings page.  (Thanks for the suggestion, Tori)
May 26 - I added Chapter 1 of the Cluetrain Manifesto to the list I showed in class today.  Wild Stuff!  Take it to the beach.  Impress the life guards with your knowledge!
May 25 - FYI on The Internet and Society 2000, a long-running Internet conference taking place next week at Harvard. Several of the sessions address ebusiness. http://www.is2k.harvard.edu/home.htm
May 25 - CNN special on ebusiness. CNNfn Special Report: Small Business and the New Economy http://cnnfn.com/news/specials/smallbiz/
May 24 - We'll wrap up the Foundations' section on Thursday.  No new reading tonight.
May 23 - Welcome!  Check out the Lecture Notes page for tomorrow's presentation slides and list of required readings.  Your eBackground sheet is due on May 25th.  The Assignments page has all the requirements. Remember to sign-up for the listserv.
