My name is Jewel Ward and I am a third-year PhD. student at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in the School of Information and Library Science. My advisor is Dr. Helen Tibbo. I am a Research Assistant at the H.W. Odum Institute for Research in Social Science, where I work with NC-DICE on one small part of the NARA TPAP.
An analyst by nature, my research interests are in the transfer, management, preservation, and curation of data and information. I am particularly interested in data transfer protocols such as the OAI-PMH and preservation data grids using iRODS. I am currently in the process of preparing for my Comps.
