My name is Jewel Ward and I am a fifth-year Ph.D. student at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in the School of Information and Library Science. My advisor is Dr. Helen Tibbo. I am a Research Assistant with the Data Intensive Cyberinfrastructure Foundation (DICF); I work for Dr. Reagan Moore.



Research Interests

Dissertation Topic (study in process): "Classifying Implemented Policies and Identifying Factors in Machine-Level Policy Sharing within the integrated Rule-Oriented Data System (iRODS)"

Interests: Machine-level policy implementation, data+metadata transfer preservation systems and infrastructures, including: networked information, preservation data grids, the OAI-PMH, digital preservation, mark-up languages, information+web design, system and information processes, and digital libraries and archives.
