About the GovStat Project:
The GovStat Project seeks to create an integrated model of user access
to and use of US government statistical information that is rooted
in realistic data models and innovative user interfaces. This project
is a joint effort of the University of North Carolina Interaction
Design Lab and the University of Maryland Human-Computer Interaction
Lab, July 1, 2002-June 30, 2005.
This work will be completed with an eye toward the creation of a
unified Statistical Knowledge Network (SKN). Our vision of integration
ultimately aims to make resident-government interactions in the statistical
data realm more of a partnership rather than strictly a one-way dissemination
of information.
