Research Interests in Bibliometrics, Webmetrics, Scholarly Communication ---- Robert Losee

I (and many other serious quantitative people in our field) have a serious long term interest in bibliometrics, webmetrics, and scholarly communication. I have written about the area some in The Science of Information. Two pieces of original research that address issues in the field are:

I'd be glad to work with Master's students on almost any topic in these broad areas. Note that while I have some knowledge about user studies, I make no claims about being a psychologist or about having the expertise to perform important studies in psychology of communication. If you are planning on studying human needs and actions, seriously consider the degree to which your potential advisor for the research project routinely works in psychology.
