INLS 80: Data Communications

Student Projects

Each one of you must create a web page that will allow me to access your homework assignments. Your web page must be placed in the file ~/public_html/inls80.html in your ATN Web space directory. Your inls80.html page must contain a list of URLs (i.e., hrefs) that point to your homework assignments.

For example, if your name is Betsy Ross and your ONYEN is bross, I will point my browser at http://www.unc.edu/~bross/inls80.html to find a list of URLs to your completed homework. For example, if you have one assignment due, and it is called "Assignment 1", then you will need an href that looks like:

<A HREF = "http://www.unc.edu/~bross/assignment1.html">Assignment 1 </A>

and I will expect to see a link that looks like this:

Assignment 1

Don't forget to "chmod og+rx <filename>" to all the files you want to be world-readable, or else no one will be able to read them! Note: Isis may already do this for you, but if you are off campus this will be a necessary step.

I will add a link with your name pointing to your class assignments to the course's Student projects page (the page you are looking at.) Please test it and make sure it points to your homework page. Please email Ruth Harper if your link is incorrect or missing. Remember, your work cannot be graded or on time if I cannot find it!
