  • North American Symposium on Knowledge Organization, June 18-19, 2009, Syracuse University School of Information Studies
    • Preliminary registration is now open for the 2009 North American Symposium on Knowledge Organization (NASKO 2009). The symposium is sponsored by ISKO-C/US, the Canadian and United States chapter of the International Society for Knowledge Organization, and will be hosted by Syracuse University School of Information Studies (i-schools).
  • 20th Annual Conference ASIST SIG/CR (American Society of Information Science and Technology Special Interest Group on Classification Research)
    • "Bridging Worlds, Connecting People: Classification Transcending Boundaries," Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada November 7, 2009.
    • "We invite interested participants to submit proposals for papers and posters to include: name(s) of presenter(s), title(s), affiliation(s), contact information and abstracts of 300-500 words for papers and 200-300 words for posters. Presentations will be 20 minutes. Papers will be published in dLIST, the Digital Library of Information Science and Technology hosted at the University of Arizona."

    • The Third International Conference on Metadata and Semantics Research (MTSR'09) aims at bringing together researchers and practitioners who share a common interest in metadata, its representation, its semantics and its diverse applications to Information Systems. Milan, September 30 - October 2, 2009
  • DC-2009 "Semantic Interoperability of Linked Data"
    • The National Library of Korea, the host for DC-2009, to be held 12-16 October 2009 in Seoul, Korea, has opened the conference website. The Call for Papers for the conference is open until 24 April 2009. Submissions are being invited for full papers, project reports and posters.
