Below are photographs of some of the exhibits visitors can see when they come to Fort Macon.

Fort layout exhibit

Visitors can get a bird's-eye view of Fort Macon in this exhibit, which also allows them to reveal a cross section view of the fort.

Defense of Fort Macon map exhibit

This interactive exhibit allows visitors to learn how the fort was used for coastal defense in World War II.

Soldier quarters exhibit

Visitors can get a glimpse into the lives of enlisted soldiers during the War Between the States.

Uniforms exhibit

This exhibit displays the different military uniforms that have been used at the fort during its history.

Artifacts of Fort Macon

Visitors can learn about a variety of firearms that were once used at Fort Macon.

Women's roles exhibit

This display features a 19th-century laundress.
