Most of these are scans of original documents starting with John Charles Grimes. Some were added later by his son, Phillip Grimes.
These and many more are in a handmade Tin Box- the box is about a large shoebox long and about 1 1/2 shoeboxes high. It has a domed lid on it like a treasure chest. The receipt for the making of the box is also in it. It costs 50 cents to make. The original lock and key are also there. The most recent owner of the box was Elford York, grandson of Andrew Allison Grimes and Rebecca Kinney. Mr. York died August 7, 1998, and just before his widow passed it along to his neice, I was able to scan just a very few documents from it. Thought I would get to borrow it one more time, but that was not to be. His niece lives in Houston, Texas.
