West Davidson
In the fall of 1998, a West
Davidson's citizens´ group discussed renovating the
former Tyro Primary School for library service and sought the
support of the county for the endeavor.
The
county commissioners agreed to appropriate $325,000
over a two-year period contingent on the balance
coming from the campaign. The local fund—raising
committee set a goal of $300,000 A year-long campaign
generated more than $352,000.
