Option to repeat INLS 299:
Students may elect to take a second field experience for three additional credits. The second FE may be at the same site as the original FE, subject to the usual approval by the student’s Faculty Advisor. It is recommended that a second field experience at the same site encompass different learning objectives and experiences from the first field experience. Registration should be in the second course section, INLS 299(2). All requirements and procedures are to be repeated for the second field experience.
Evaluation and Grade:
A grade of either "P," "L" or "F" will be assigned by the FE Coordinator, based on the evidence of requirements met and the recommendation of the Site Supervisor and Faculty Supervisor. Field experience grades will not be included in the grade calculation for Beta Phi Mu records.
Pay for Field Experience:
A student should not expect to receive compensation or wages for time spent on a field experience. However, if such compensation is offered, so much the better, and there are no restrictions on the student accepting it.
