Nīmes

Next: Avignon

While staying in Arles, we took a day trip westwards to the larger, bustling city of Nīmes. This city is the location of two of the best preserved Roman structures outside of Italy: an amphitheater and a temple. These buildings are shown and discussed on the following page from a brochure on the city.

After a busy day in Nīmes, we returned to Arles for the night and the next day drove north to Avignon.
