Cahors |
The town of Cahors sits on a rocky peninsula created by the twists and turns of the Lot River. This photo shows the Pont Valentre, the first medieval fortified bridge in France. It was built between 1308 and 1380 and restored during the 19th century. With its blue sky, the bridge reflected in the river, and the flowers in the foreground, this is my favorite photo from our trip. |
