An alternative to any of the assignments may be proposed to allow each person to tailor the class activities to his/her particular interests or needs.
In addition to the formal assignments, there is an individual class participation grade (10%). This grade will be based on your preparedness and participation in class. Please also plan to contribute comments (at least once every two weeks) to the class discussion board about the readings, about visits or experiences relevant to the class, about conversations you have monitored on relevant listservs. Or you may post a citation to an interesting reading or useful website.
Revised 1/1/99 -- changed date dues of first assignment.
If you have any questions or want to propose an alternative, send me a note at Evelyn Daniel.
